Yoga Therapy for Postural Improvement in Idiopathic Scoliosis
with Julia Kornbluh
How can Yoga Therapy support posture and spinal alignment in adults with idiopathic scoliosis?
This workshop explores the role of therapeutic movement, breath awareness, and mindful alignment in addressing the structural imbalances caused by scoliosis. Many adults living with idiopathic scoliosis are seeking gentle, effective alternatives to surgery or bracing. Yoga Therapy offers an accessible, individualized approach that can foster improved posture, ease of movement, and greater body awareness. Drawing from both research and personal insight, this session invites participants to discover how yoga-based tools may support spinal health and overall well-being.
Julia Kornbluh, BA, E-RYT200, is a holistic well-being educator known for creating safe, inclusive, and welcoming spaces for all. With a B.A. in Health Science from Florida Atlantic University—concentrating on behavioral and mental health—and over seven years of experience teaching yoga across South Florida, Julia integrates movement, breathwork, meditation, and yoga philosophy to support personal growth and healing. She is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 200) with the Yoga Alliance and a Yoga Therapy Candidate at AUM hOMe Shala, an internationally accredited yoga therapy school. Julia’s compassionate and playful teaching style empowers students to explore their practice more deeply and reconnect with the body, breath, and heart.

Menopause as a Complex Condition: Musculoskeletal Health Through the Lens of Yoga Therapy
with Masha Leuner
Explore how Yoga Therapy can reduce joint pain, muscle loss, and decreased mobility associated with the Musculoskeletal Syndrome of Menopause—a condition impacting millions of women during the transition from perimenopause to postmenopause. Often underdiagnosed and misunderstood, this syndrome includes symptoms such as joint stiffness, loss of bone density, and the progression of osteoarthritis, all largely influenced by declining estrogen levels. Through breath, movement, and awareness practices, Yoga Therapy offers a proactive and empowering approach to managing these symptoms, improving quality of life and supporting long-term musculoskeletal health.
Masha Leuner, M.B.A., E-RYT 500, YACEP, is a Boston-based yoga instructor specializing in strength-based Vinyasa Flow and the therapeutic application of yoga for conditions such as osteoporosis, spinal misalignment, and respiratory health. She is currently completing her training in Yoga Therapy through AUM hOMe Shala, an IAYT-accredited program in Miami. Masha began her yoga journey in 2005 and transitioned to teaching in 2016 after leaving a demanding corporate career to focus on well-being and family. Her personal experience with burnout and transformation continues to inform her teaching. Grounded in self-inquiry and functional movement, Masha’s classes offer yoga as a practical, healing tool to support strength, awareness, and resilience.
