Our Cancellation and Enrollment Policy: If you cancel your enrollment more than three weeks before the program starts, you will receive a full refund, minus a $100 nonrefundable processing fee and a $150 course material charge if you accessed the online curriculum. Cancelling between three weeks and one week prior to the program will result in a refund of half the tuition, minus the $100 processing fee and $150 course material charge if accessed. Cancellations within one week of the program start date are nonrefundable. Enrollment at AUM hOMe Shala is subject to space availability and other considerations. In the event of course cancellation due to low enrollment, students will be notified within 24–48 hours and promptly refunded.

Beatriz Maldonado is a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT), Cancer Exercise Specialist (CETI), and dedicated AUM hOMe Shala Adjunct Faculty member. With over a decade of hands-on experience in mind-body practices, Beatriz seamlessly bridges the gap between ancient wisdom and modern clinical oncology supportive care. She serves as a Clinical Yoga Therapist within premier South Florida hospital systems, including the Baptist Health Herbert Wertheim Cancer Institute and the University of Miami’s Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. In these clinical environments, she executes evidence-based, multi-modal protocols that utilize yoga therapy as a complementary practice to improve treatment outcomes and quality of life, effectively alleviating prevalent side effects such as fatigue, neuropathy, lymphedema, sarcopenia, insomnia, anxiety amongst others. Deeply committed to patient-centered care, Beatriz specializes in adapting stress-regulation and movement protocols for both mixed-ability groups and personalized one-on-one sessions. Her versatile background spans across the lifespan, including extensive experience teaching children and youth in adaptive and educational settings. Her background in Industrial Engineering uniquely informs her structured, systems-based approach to program development, ensuring safety protocols are executed in clinical settings. As a fully bilingual (English/Spanish) educator, she is deeply passionate about discovering innovative ways to eliminate barriers to care, honor diverse cultural beliefs, and empower cancer patients throughout every stage of treatment and survivorship.
