Join our free group classes to experience the healing benefits of yoga. Led by AUM’s clinical yoga therapists and yoga therapy candidates, each session is thoughtfully designed around a specific wellness topic.

Yoga Nidra with Dawn Loftin on Zoom!

March 2, 9, & 30; April 13 & 27, 2026 (Zoom log-on 6:50 pm; class begins 7 pm EST)

Give yourself the gift of deep rest and self-care. Yoga Nidra is a powerful guided practice that brings you into a restful, meditative state—accessing deep levels of awareness while remaining conscious. Often described as “conscious sleep,” Yoga Nidra enhances cognitive function, reduces stress, and supports overall well-being. At its heart, it is also a profound spiritual practice that reveals the nature of consciousness.

No prior experience is needed. You may practice lying on a yoga mat, in bed, or seated in a chair—wherever you can be completely at ease and remain still throughout the session.

Each session begins with gentle Joint and Gland exercises to prepare the body, followed by guided pranayama (breath control) to balance the mind. Modifications are offered for students with limited mobility.

Every monthly series focuses on a specific healing intention, inviting awareness of injury, illness, or sleep disturbances. Practices may include the 61 Points technique, using mantra and visualization with blue light to promote relief and insight.

Dawn A. Loftin, B.S., M.A., C-IAYT, E-RYT®500 is a Certified Yoga Therapist and Level 1 ParaYoga® and ParaYoga® Nidra Teacher. She is also a YACEP®, Ayurveda Yoga Specialist, and Relax & Renew® Trainer. Dawn completed her 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training and Clinical Yoga Therapy Practicum at AUM hOMe Shala.Originally drawn to yoga therapy to deepen her understanding of anatomy, Dawn discovered a passion for working with individuals living with Parkinson’s Disease during her clinical training. Today, she is honored to share the transformative practice of ParaYoga® Nidra with students and teachers at AUM hOMe Shala, offering a path toward deep rest, healing, and inner awareness.

Classes are offered via Zoom. To participate, students must first set up a free Zoom Account. To do so, follow these simple directions:
1. Set up a free account by following this link.
2. Once you arrive at the Zoom website, click the link Plans & Pricing at the top of the page on the left side.
3. A drop-down menu will appear; click on Basic Personal Meeting Free.
4. Follow the prompts to set up your account. Once you let us know which class you wish to take, we will send you a Zoom invitation link to join the class. At the designated time, all you will have to do is click the link to connect to our Free Yoga Therapy Group Class.
