Enrollment is open NOW for the 300/500-Hour On-line YTT; Zoom classes begin in January 2025! Apply now and work toward certification from the comfort of your home! This course is offered entirely in an online Zoom format. Optional ‘in-the-field’ ON-SITE hours offered in Miami-Dade County and Port St Lucie County.
AUM’s 300/500-Hour Yoga Teacher Training, with a focus on the therapeutic benefits of yoga, expands professional development for certified yoga teachers and prepares them to use yoga to increase health and well-being in a wide range of settings, with diverse populations.
Prerequisite for enrollment is documented completion of a 200-hour yoga teacher training course. Graduates receive a certificate and are eligible to be registered as 300- or 500-Hour Yoga Teacher as designated by the Yoga Alliance.
Admission: A minimum of 5 students is required to make a class possible, and our maximum enrollment is 10. A $100 nonrefundable application fee is required with all applications.
How much homework is required?
Recommended homework time is approximately 3–5 hours per week. An access code to our Learning Management System (LMS) is provided two weeks prior to each class meeting for students to begin pre-course assignments.
What if I have to miss a course?
Students are expected to commit their schedule to the course calendar. In the event of an emergency, a student is allowed to miss one weekend course with the understanding that they will have to make the class up when it cycles around again in order to graduate. However, if the class is full, the student will have to wait until there is an opening. There is no guarantee that a course will be repeated from one year to the next. Some courses may repeat every 18 months.

Please note: Some weekend yoga therapy workshops are open to the general public as well as to our teachers-in-training. If you enroll in the training program after attending a weekend workshop, you will receive credit toward the training once you complete all assignments for that workshop. Credit will be granted for up to two weekend workshops before enrollment in the full course is required in order to receive additional credits.
What participants are saying …
“This program was nothing short of transformative, professionally as well as personally. I couldn’t recommend it more highly. When discussing this program in comparison to those that others I know have gone through, Aum Home Shala is leaps and bounds ahead as far as preparing its teachers to meet the needs of their students and in encouraging life-long learning.” —A. R.
“Aum Home Shala is a school with excellent teachers and directors which provide a high standard of education in all areas of the program. I feel that the training that I got here was almost individualized, because I was always able to receive guidance and assistance from the teachers and from Director Melinda Atkins when I needed it. Every time I have doubts or concerns, they always put me on the right path with kindness and wisdom. The fact about I could practice what I was learning from the books and lecture, gave me an amazing learning experience. I feel confident, capable, and with a vast universe of knowledge which will allow me to continue growing, teaching and helping others with all benefits of yoga.” —E. G.
“I’ve never learned so much in a YTT! The courses are not only filled with information but also with resources for later use. The teachers are extremely professional, with lots of experience! I would definitely come back to complete more of their trainings. This school has teachers that are passionate for yoga and make sure you are successful in your future endeavours. I highly recommend this 300hr training more than a traditional professional level course because this training unifies western and eastern healthcare in a practical manner. After completing the training I feel more confident teaching students and offering suitable progressions.” —N. V.
“Each weekend is packed with so much learning and growth!”
“Every teacher has so much to offer. I love the fact that we get one-on-one mentoring to learn more and get all our questions answered. This program has also helped me on a personal level to create routines and feel better in body and mind.”
“You will expand beyond expectation and grow into a more authentic individual and teacher.”
“The 300-hour program is great for teachers who want to learn more about anatomy and how to apply therapeutic benefits of yoga. Each weekend spent at the Shala will transform you into a more intuitive teacher. Knowledge is power, and after each weekend I felt empowered.”
“Environment and surroundings were great. I am impressed by this small but powerful school.”
