Gain a deep understanding of spinal conditions and master the art of designing and delivering yoga protocols for optimal spinal health in this comprehensive 26-hour training. Ideal for yoga teachers, yoga therapists, and healthcare professionals looking to integrate effective yoga-based tools for spinal health.
Throughout the course, participants will explore:
- Detailed spinal and muscular anatomy, covering lumbar, thoracic, and cervical spine
- Common spinal conditions: scoliosis, herniated discs, posture issues, arthritis, kyphosis, sciatica, osteoporosis, stenosis, and SI dysfunction
- Practical application of yoga therapy principles to develop customized protocols
- Insights from current research in physical therapy and Dr. Loren Fishman’s groundbreaking work in spinal yoga therapy
- Hands-on practice sessions to create and deliver tailored protocols
- Dedicated Q&A sessions to address participant questions
The pre-course preparation includes video modules, essential readings, interactive discussions, and assessments. Following the in-person sessions, participants will draft detailed protocols for specific spinal conditions. In the post-course phase, they will present their protocols in a Zoom session, receiving valuable feedback from instructors and peers.

Our Cancellation and Enrollment Policy: Cancellations made at least 3 weeks prior to the program start date are eligible for a full refund, with a $100 nonrefundable processing fee deducted. Cancelations made between 3 weeks and 1 week prior will receive a refund of half the tuition, minus the $100 non-refundable processing fee. Cancelations within 1 week of the program start date are nonrefundable. AUM hOMe Shala reserves the right to decline enrollment due to space limitations or other concerns. In the event that AUM hOMe Shala cancels a course due to under-enrollment, students will be notified within 24–48 hours and promptly refunded.
Grisell B. Gonzalez, B. A., C-IAYT, E-RYT 500, is a yoga therapist with a degree in Art History from the University of Washington. She has earned a 1,000-Hour Clinical Yoga Therapy Certification and a 500-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification from AUM Home Shala in Florida, as well as a 200-Hour Yoga and Meditation Teaching Certification from Ananda Washington. Grisell specializes in yoga therapy for Parkinson’s disease, neuroplasticity, and spinal health conditions. She also has expertise in Tai Chi and Qigong for health.
Martha Victoria, B.A., C-IAYT, E-RYT 500, draws from an amalgam of styles and techniques in her teaching, which is geared toward bringing awareness to the body and using movement and breath for self-healing. Since completing her 500-hour yoga teacher certification, she has continued to study with master teachers in trainings in yin yoga, advanced pranayama, Ashtanga Yoga, yoga for wellness, and resistance stretching. Her 20+ years studying mysticism under the Rosicrucian Order have served as her platform for diving deeper into yoga philosophy. Martha is currently pursuing her 1000-hour Yoga Therapy certification, with specialized training at AUM in yoga for heart conditions, mental health, Parkinson’s disease, osteoporosis, and spinal health.
