Yoga Therapy Clinical Practicum
Florida’s First Accredited Yoga Therapy Certification Program since 2014
In our on-line Yoga Therapy Clinical Practicum, students complete a total of 500+ hours at our Yoga Therapy Community Clinic as they train to become certified yoga therapists.
Clinical Practicum Orientation to be offered at mutually convenient dates and times. Optional on-site clinical opportunities in Miami-Dade and Port St. Lucie Counties, Florida.
To qualify to apply, a 300/500 Hour Foundation-Module student must have a minimum of 75 residential hours; a Bridge Student must have a minimum of 40 residential hours.
Due to circumstances beyond our control, teachers and schedule for the Clinical Practicum are subject to change. Candidates are granted access and encouraged to consult our Shala calendar for the most recent updates. Practicum dates are offered from January 15 through November 15, and it is the responsibility of the student to schedule their time according to their preferred graduation timeline. Accelerated Bridge Students have up to 16 months to complete their training.
What Our Students Say …
“This work has changed my yoga career and consistently supported me through the last two years.”
“This program is the university level of the yoga therapy training experience!”
“You’ll learn more than you ever expected—you’ll be able to see inside someone’s body solely by looking at them.”
“Before I took this training, I would be nervous to talk to anyone about medicine—now I can carry on a conversation with physical therapists, chiropractors, and holistic practitioners. After teaching a group class one day, I was able to talk with a chiropractor who happened to be in the class about spinal disorders and how yoga therapy offers ways to alleviate symptoms. My confidence and enthusiasm is a result of this well-rounded training.”
Who It’s For
- AUM Yoga Therapy candidates who have completed 75-Hours of AUM’s Foundation Clinical Yoga Therapy Program, with a focus on the therapeutic benefits of yoga
- Individuals who have successfully completed prerequisites, to be determined, may include graduates of alternative 500-hour yoga teacher training programs or yoga therapy courses, as well as licensed healthcare professionals.
Students have 16 months from enrollment to complete the on-line Clinical Practicum; the IAYT requires that 300/500 Hour Foundation students complete the full Foundation and Clinical Practicum training in no less than two years. If a student requires more than 16 months to complete the Clinical Practicum, they will be assessed a surcharge reflecting the additional time needed.
We offer a Bridge Program for yoga teachers who have not participated in AUM’s Clinical Yoga Therapy Foundation Training and wish to enroll in our Clinical Practicum.
